A GROUP SHOW CELEBRATING FRIENDSHIP, THE BEGINNING OF SOMETHING NEW, & CONTEMPORARY ART:
THE LAUNCH OF PAPERWEIGHT.
Our inaugural show. A dry run. A taste of what we plan to bring to the metaphorical table, so to speak. We want to elevate the strange and sometimes off-putting into a sphere of professionalism and warmth. Planning and installing this show was a series of pleasant curatorial revelations that let us know we are on the right path.
While we did create the work for this show in the vicinity of one and other, we didn’t necessarily tell each other what we were working on or what we had chosen to include in the show. As pieces were brought down from the studio and leaned against the wall in a curatorial rough draft, we noticed small motifs that made their way through each of our pieces. With mirrored forms and through lines of themes and subject, the work spoke to each other in ways that could’t be planned if we had even wanted to.
